A winning runner knows the power of a strong start. The Family Centre believes all children have the potential to become winners. Through our work with families, schools and communities, we invest in tomorrow’s adults by getting them off to a good start. The Family Centre helps children:

Building Strong Relationships
The value of a healthy relationship, be it personal, family, or business, is immeasurable. The Family Centre understands that building and sustaining effective relationships takes skill and time. The Family Centre helps people build strong relationships by helping individuals, families, and work teams:

- Acquire the vocabulary to express feelings and emotions
- Recognize they are worthy and likeable

Navigating Through Change
Change is the one certainty that life guarantees. Often, it can become the catalyst we need to experience meaningful personal growth. The Family Centre helps individuals and organizations navigate through change by:
- Demonstrating how people can cope and thrive through change
- Teaching people to negotiate change with others
- Providing skills to manage the emotional roller coaster that accompanies change
- Offering insight and knowledge about the change process
Healing From Trauma
A traumatic experience can often leave painful scars. But, scars can heal with compassion and skilled support. The Family Centre’s professional teams have helped hundreds of individuals, families, institutions and workplaces heal from the debilitating effects of trauma. We offer hope by helping:
- Recognize they are not responsible for the abuse they have suffered
- See that they are now safe
- Learn to trust and build healthy relationships
- Help their loved ones understand how to contribute to the healing
